Zaeladonys
Few Chronikin in Deolis display a level of vanity and cruelty equal to Zaeladonys. They are quick tempered, combatant and haughty. They spend hours preening themselves, stopping only when they receive a perceived slight, sending them into a flurry of shrieking, electrical attacks on the unfortunate offending creature. Though they are avian, they seem to lack the ability for full flight, opting to hop and glide around. However, they can overcharge their aspect, granting them flight and increased power and speed. When in this state, the very air around them seems to become statically charged.
Though a popular Chronikin displayed in art and mythology, bondings with Zaeladonys seem to be incredibly rare, due to their unruly nature and unpredictability. Even with a successful bonding, Archivists claim that the personality influences tend to be stronger than other Chronikin, they themselves lashing out in unwarranted interactions. However, the power of Zaeladonys is unquestionable and many Deolisians believe them to be the divine wrath of the gods personified or vengeful agents of the king of the gods, Olyrion.
Fractured form
A Fractured Zaeladonys hops and glides rather than flies, and spends most of its waking hours preening. The static that lifts its white plumage is the only warning before it lashes out.
Balanced form
Balanced Zaeladonys can overcharge their aspect at will, taking to the air in a furious updraft. In that state the air around them crackles, and their melee strikes land with the force of a lightning stroke.
Fabled form
The Fabled Zaeladonys is the storm made flesh that Deolan temple friezes depict. It flies freely, its wingbeats leave the air statically charged, and it treats every creature in sight as a slight waiting to be answered.
